9/11/01

Glenn has been a volunteer fireman for over 30 years.  He is also a New York State Honorary Fire Chief.  He was a volunteer Fireman at Ground Zero providing search and rescue as well as recovery services from 9/11/01-9/20/01.

The B&W shots were by a NY Times press photographer.

Glenn took photo from the bottom of the WTC pit on 9/12.

Glenn took this photo from the window of his apartment as the first tower collapsed.

World Trade Center - The Movie
A Oliver Stone Film

Glenn had the honor of being asked to appear in this movie along with other firefighters from the FDNY.

If you have a chance to see the film Glenn is in the scene in the WTC pit. He helps rescue Nicolas Cage.

Sometimes art imitates life too closely.  When Glenn and the other firefighters arrived on the set (in California) they were all taken back by how realistic it was.  All stopped, held hands and had a moment of silence.

As a tribute Glenn wore the same gear in the movie that he wore at Ground Zero
